When we first began working with Bonafide, they had no name. They were “a standard-based information exchange for validated content and data between Generative AI platforms and commercial enterprises to enable fair, unbiased, and frictionless interactions and commerce.” That’s a great business model, but a less than awesome name. So we went to work and landed on Bonafide. Bonafide comes from the Latin “in good faith”. It suggests a place that ensures accuracy. Plus, it’s kind of a cool word. We all liked it, and it stuck.

Next, we created the brand identity. Bonafide is a clients' loyal companion in Generative Commerce. So naturally, our logo features a trusty sidekick, a Border Collie named Fido. Border Collies have some pretty darn good qualities. They’re not only loyal and lovable, they’re regarded as the most intelligent canine breed, used around the world to keep livestock safe–a nice analogy for what we do at Bonafide:

→ An intelligent companion that directs a healthy information flow

→ An always-on, hardworking, watchful guardian

→ Streamlines output in a world of infobesity

Fido's left eye is in Bonafide Blue to represent Bonafide's ever watchful grasp on information exchange. One day soon, when Bonafide is a massive global brand, Fido plans to be in an incredibly popular Super Bowl commercial.
